James is a co-founder of Murphy Mulhall and has been Managing Director since 2009. His particular area of expertise is the Dublin Office Market where he has worked for over 20 years. He has extensive experience advising both office and logistics occupiers in relation to their space requirements/lease renewals/rent reviews. Clients speak highly of his pro-activity and attention to detail when handling their projects.

James is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the British Council for Offices (BCO) and the Institute of Directors (IOD). He is also a European Board Member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and is an RICS Registered Valuer.

Robert MurphyBSc, MSCSI, MRICS, SIOR

Robert is a co-founder of Murphy Mulhall and has been a Director since 2009. Robert is a specialist in the Irish Investment market.  Over the last twenty years, he has been involved in a variety of notable transactions both in Ireland and the US where he spent over 7 years.  Robert has extensive experience advising on large individual and portfolio sales for private investors, institutions and property funds.

Robert is a member of both the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and is an RICS Registered Valuer.

Peter Silvester

Peter is a Director with Murphy Mulhall having joined the team in 2009. He practiced for many years as a Solicitor in the area of commercial property, having been a Partner at a prominent Dublin law firm.

Peter brings a wealth of experience, contacts and opportunities to Murphy Mulhall.  Peter has an active interest in rugby and is a keen tennis player.

Brian GaffneyBSc, MSCSI, MRICS, SIOR

Brian is a Director with Murphy Mulhall having joined the team in 2015. He is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (MSCSI) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Brian is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and is an RICS Registered Valuer. He has over 12 years’ experience of the Irish Commercial property market works predominantly within the Investment Team but is also a key member of our Office Agency and Valuation Teams.

Brian has been involved in various high profile sales and acquisitions of Retail, Office and Mixed Use and Industrial Investments and has carried out some notable office lettings and valuations on behalf of his wide client base which includes Irish and International Banks, Domestic and international Property Funds, Developers and an extensive array of high net worth clients.

Rebecca Breen

Rebecca is a Senior Surveyor with Murphy Mulhall having joined the team in 2017.  She has a B.Sc (Honours) Degree in Property Valuation and Management from Limerick Institute of Technology. She is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (MSCSI) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Rebecca is also an RICS Registered Valuer.

Rebecca is primarily involved in the Office Agency Department but is also a member of the Valuations Team. Rebecca has been involved in various lettings and acquisitions of offices, rent reviews and lease renewals. She has also been involved in some notable valuations.

Hugh ODonnellMSc in Real Estate

Hugh is a Surveyor with Murphy Mulhall having joined the team in 2021. He is a graduate of Technological University Dublin with a MSc in Real Estate. Hugh is currently undertaking his APC to become a RICS/SCSI Chartered Surveyor.

Hugh is involved in sales and acquisitions of Retail, Office and Mixed Use and Industrial Investments. He is also involved in rent reviews and lease renewals.

Jo ONeill

Jo is Head of Marketing with Murphy Mulhall having rejoined the team in 2015, She had previously worked with the Firm as a Consultant from January 2013 to June 2015. Jo is responsible for marketing, compliance and the day to day functions of the back office. Jo is also responsible for the debt management of a major Dublin Shopping Centre and is a Practitioner of the Institute of Banking (APA).

Jo has been involved in property for over 20 years and her speciality skills are marketing, compliance and project management.
