OUR ROLE

Tenant Representation

BACKGROUND

DEPT is a global digital agency with over 30 years of experience delivering creative, technology, and marketing solutions for leading brands worldwide.

As the business continued to expand in Ireland, the company had outgrown its existing Dublin office and required a new headquarters that could accommodate its growing team, while supporting its collaborative culture.

With a young workforce, DEPT needed more than just additional office space. The new headquarters had to provide an engaging environment that encouraged collaboration, creativity, and employee interaction, while also offering facilities suitable for hosting clients, workshops, and events.

HOW WE HELPED

Murphy Mulhall worked closely with the DEPT team to develop a clear understanding of both their operational requirements and cultural objectives.

Recognising the importance of finding the right fit rather than simply securing additional space, we assessed and toured a number of properties across Dublin, providing detailed market insight and strategic guidance at every stage.

Drawing on our experience and knowledge of the occupier market, we helped DEPT identify Thomas Burgh House at Newmarket Square, as the location best suited to their needs. The property offered a unique workplace environment, excellent amenities, and the flexibility required to support the company’s continued growth.

Throughout the acquisition process, we advised on negotiations and ensured the client had access to all the information needed to make informed decisions.

OUTCOME

DEPT successfully established its new Dublin headquarters at Thomas Burgh House, creating a workplace that supports both its growing business and vibrant company culture.

The move has been a significant success, with strong office attendance, particularly during the middle of the working week. The space has been exceptionally well received by employees, providing a collaborative environment that encourages engagement and connection across teams.

Clients have also embraced the new headquarters, making extensive use of the workshop facilities, meeting rooms, and dedicated client entertainment spaces that were not available in DEPT’s previous office.

By combining extensive market expertise with a personal, hands-on approach, Murphy Mulhall helped DEPT secure a headquarters that not only meets its current requirements but also provides a strong platform for the future.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

“I would absolutely recommend Murphy Mulhall. James and Rebecca are fantastic, and have helped guide us through what can be quite a complicated process. And in the end after viewing quite a large amount of properties, they guides us to the one that actually best suited our needs.”
